Francois Legault, who leads the Coalition Avenir Quebec (CAQ), is facing backlash for a proposal to expel new immigrants from their province if they fail a language test after three years. The CAQ, which is currently leading the polls, also wants to cut the number of immigrants to 40,000 a year.
